From the supermarket near our lodging. Gold color and smooth carbonation. Mild acidity, big fruit flavor, moderate sweetness. Mid complexity, excellent for the afternoon. Great with soft cheese.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Cider#4. ST MALO. First drink in France after arriving from Jersey, sat on the beach. Dryish but full-on apple flavour and it's sweet. Aroma is similar carrying a tad more alcohol influence.

75cl bottle from our recent trip to Brittany. Pours a generally clear gold, bright effervescence. Aroma of cellar barn, orchard morn. Woody oaky barrel coming through well to taste, some keen natural fruit with a nice rustic touch. Lovely.

On tap at Outland Bar, pours a clear golden with a rapidly dissipating white head. Aroma brings out lots of barnyard funk, leather, apple skins, and oak. Flavour is complex, with lots of barnyard funk, gentle apple skins, and leather. Beautiful funk, with moderate residual sweetness. Excellent.

Bottle shared. Clear golden with a few fizzy bubbles. Sweet apple, light dank apple peel, soft funk, slight dried apricot, mango, hay, mineral notes. Under medium sweet and very light bitter and sour. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and bone dry finish. Very good cider!
