Slightly malty, decent amount of flavor for a non crafty beer, moderate hops finish. Pretty good light one.

From a Japanese supermarket. Drunk from the can in our NYC hotel room after some delicious sushi at Aji in midtown east. Smooth, slim body, hint of banana with a clean wheaty taste. It's a bit more like a mild pale ale with wheat flavors rather than a German Weißbier, which is quite refreshing in the year's first East Coast heat wave. This is just what I need after walking 8 miles around New York today!

Drunk in NYC from a can purchased in a Japanese supermarket. Brings back memories from Richmond and Cary Street Wine, where I believe I often got this beer around 25y ago. Yep there's that malty, light-molasses black flavor that is full but dry, balanced with pretty smooth earthy-forest-smelling hops. Not super complex but sufficient, quality flavor and refreshing bitterness. Drink cold!

Drunk in the Chemists Club hotel room in New York City, after delicious tacos. Nice complex malt flavor, rye-like hints, mandarine and Oriental notes in the hop aromatics. Very fresh straightforward flavor! Too jet lagged to write more.

Bottle drunk after eating many gyoza at a Japanese friend's birthday party. Slightly expired a brief 6 months back. Light haze, amber, nice head. Light caramel nose with earthy hops, flavor is pretty alright for its age. Smooth bitterness, moderate body, a bit thin on flavor though. It's pretty decent.

Drunk on June 19th while cooking homemade gyoza. Golden, clear, small head. Light stone fruit nose, mild lemony acidity. Funky flavor with more present tartness than the nose. Smooth and tasty, lightly bretty, some oaky notes. Excellent, dry and refreshing.

Drunk on tap at Osteria ai Cancelli in Iseo. Golden clear, moderate head. Mild grain nose. Lightly malty flavor, pretty light earthy hops for a pils but it's very refreshing on this rather hot day. Smooth and not too exciting but no big failure here.
