Bottle at home and rather good. Great colour in the glass and a short lasting head. Slightly skunky nose but good rich taste. Paired with Roast Beef Monster Munch. The snack of kings.

0.5 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before February 2026. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, a bit floral aroma of grains, some straw and hints of vanilla. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a bit grassy-spicy and a little floral taste of grains, straw and traces of vanilla, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Just okay, extremely bland and generic.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, deep golden with a lacing, white head. Aroma is mainly clean, sweet hops. Rich, malty body - quite sweet. Very subdued bitterness. A very sweet beer, lacking hops both for aroma and balance. 130825

Bottle drunk after eating many gyoza at a Japanese friend's birthday party. Slightly expired a brief 6 months back. Light haze, amber, nice head. Light caramel nose with earthy hops, flavor is pretty alright for its age. Smooth bitterness, moderate body, a bit thin on flavor though. It's pretty decent.

330ml panda from LCB. Clear dark gold with small off-white top. Aroma is moderately sweet, biscuit like with some fruity esters - banana and cherry is what I'm picking up. Taste again is malty with biscuit and some caramel notes, banana, light grassy hops. Medium bodied, a little low in the carbonation. A very useful explanation of the style from SilkTork below. I agree with our LCB offering being a bit flat but not about it being flabby. I'm finding the malt complexity decent and there are some Hefeweizen banana esters to this which I find more unusual for the style.

Bottle, deep golden, mostly clear. Fruity sweet. Taste is front heavy, sweet gummibears malty caramel, sticky aftertaste.

Optisch sattes Gold im Glas, Schaum passt. In der Nase schön würzig. Im Trunk ebenso, fast schon crispy, sauberer Abgang, süß, spät dezent bitter. Sehr lecker.
