A World Cup Of Beers#28. POLAND. An international brew with the football and a clear golden nicely carbonated lager from Eastern Europe. It's its sugars in this one that makes it stand out, towards the 'icing' variety and providing quite a good flavour here. Aroma and its lager base are quite ordinary though. Drank at the start of the Spain vs Belgium quarter-final game.

A World Cup Of Beers#27. CROATIA. An international brew with the football and now to the Balkans with this hazy dishwater-like golden coloured canned effort. Described as a JuiceBomb, it certainly does have steady sweetish tropical notes but it's not entirely so given its clear strength has to an extent a subduing effect here. Nevertheless, this is a fruity enough, slower-sipping brew with a dullish low-bitterness citrus taste. Drank whilst watching France progress to the semi-finals against Morocco.

A World Cup Of Beers#26. FRANCE. An international brew with the football and as it's France playing right now I've gone with this clear golden very lightly carbonated lager from across the English Channel. I kind of wish it had stayed there though, it's low-brow stuff, malts and a bitterness, nothing tasty about it at all. Drank whilst watching the knock-out game - France vs Morocco.

A World Cup Of Beers#25. LATVIA. An international brew with the football and this one is a deeper clear golden colour with plenty of visible carbonation. Mild orange fruit, mild herbal qualities, never really getting that flavoursome but the mouthfeel is quite nice in this attractive looking Baltic beer. Drank whilst watching the first quarter-final match - France vs Morocco.
