7/10 — Setting 8 Selection 7 Service 7 Food Value 6 Overall 7
Microbar shop unit conversion on the south side of the square opposite the train station's town entrance and exit. It's quite a regular set-up with lots of seats packed into a smallish area in front of the service area in the rear corner. Here a couple of cask ales are available, but it's a little more focussed on its keg options, of which there are plenty. Modern and craft focussed with fridge options expanding the selection, it was a popular place, as most were on this particularly sunny summer Friday afternoon when I visited and was doing good business, with both put-out tables in front of its glass windows naturally already taken.

Kirkstall Tins At Home Beer#3 of 3. After the disappointing chocolate part of the last stout, this one does not disappoint in that aspect, there's enough in here, naturally with a bit of orange involved too. It does taste a little like its strength though, despite its texture feeling nothing like it, this is quite smooth. Rich more than sweet, it's black in colour.

Kirkstall Tins At Home Beer#2 of 3. Black coloured and despite a decent strength, somewhat underwhelming as a stout. The 'cherry' part of the title ingredients is the most dominant, coming across rich in both aroma and taste, however the chocolate part seems to have gone missing. It's slightly dry by its aftertaste, but it remains easy enough drinking.

Kirkstall Tins At Home Beer#1 of 3. A nice easy-textured starter, which is hazy paler gold in colour. Quite floral, a little fruity, having been to DMC's brewery and bar this is quite soft by their spice standards, but I guess as it a collaboration there's a bit of give and take. It's flavoursome nevertheless with good lemon to be found in this respect. Found in a local Nisa shop.

MCR July Specials Beer#26. My only Manchester drinking day this month so a sweep of the one-offs. Clear pale golden coloured brew, pretty much a standard lager, a little above the macro sort, clean and crisp, but nothing overly remarkable. Standard special with the added summer football as the excuse. Third final afterthought and last of the day.

MCR July Specials Beer#25. My only Manchester drinking day this month so a sweep of the one-offs. Not cleary a white stout from its clear golden appearance, bit definitely so from its taste. Sweet with a syrup in both aroma and taste, white chocolate becomes more prevalent after this, and is flavoursome, but also rich. Second afterthought after the train home, and a good one.
