This rich, smooth, dessert-inspired stout balances the indulgent flavour of chocolate with sweet, sharp cherry.

Kirkstall Tins At Home Beer#2 of 3. Black coloured and despite a decent strength, somewhat underwhelming as a stout. The 'cherry' part of the title ingredients is the most dominant, coming across rich in both aroma and taste, however the chocolate part seems to have gone missing. It's slightly dry by its aftertaste, but it remains easy enough drinking.

Dark brown, opaque with a light brown head. Strong cocoa aroma, roasted with a hint of candy cherry. Full but heavy body, rather dry, low carbonation. Bitter taste, dominated by cocoa and roasted notes, dark chocolate, a slight fruity acidity, and the cherry is rather imperceptible, which is a shame, maybe just a batch like this.

Can. Nose is cherry syrup, calpol, soapy, hint of cola, faint milk chocolate. Taste is cola, bitter woody, slightly metallic, chocolate.

Really unpleasent.
