Olut Profile - Brewver (Dev)

Small gift shop opposite the clock tower in the centre of Dinan. A tourist shop at heart, it's not hard to find the series of shelves carrying a pretty good, mostly bottled selection of local and French brews. There's better more dedicated shops that have sprung up in the tourist town, but the fifty of so brews here are certainly more than worthy of a look.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#56. DINAN. Drank by the river Rance after exploring the Port of Dinan. Fairly regular in design but with a good texture, providing a decent body. Mild berries for flavour.

The Black Forest in Germany is no more black than the Forest of Bowland, which I can confirm having been to both. This Bowland Black is not black either, just dark, with the gluten free styling taking away much of the flavour from this stout, although it serves a purpose for those who enjoy or can only drink this type of beer. For others the smooth texture is perhaps its best characteristic.

The bottle says this one is for sharing.... no chance! I'm having this tasty little number all to myself! Not bad for a macro producer with a mix of fruit, light spice, darker sugars, boozy in its aroma although not quite feeling its strength in terms of taste.
