Olut Profile - Brewver (Dev)

Seems appropriate as the summer continues in full flow today, and first beer since ending my summer holiday - probably spend the next few months rating the 130+ new tastes I've had over the last fortnight on the road. This one is very similar to the many of the same style I've had in France recently, with strength and a hoppiness combining well for a full-bodied but palate friendly brew.

Waterfront bar on the east side of the ground floor of the National Theatre building with outdoor tables that just about provide a river view, and are sheltered by the building's concrete overhang. Inside it's rectangular also with a rectangular bar in the back corner, meaning most of the seats are against its large glass windows in this modern craft keg bar.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Cider#2. WOOL. In the small Dorset town of Wool with its humped stone bridge across the River Frome, first recorded in the 13th century, this cider enjoyed nearby is strong but isn't a problem here, but by the same measure its apple is light, although more stated in aftertaste. Has a mild tang but is more sweet.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Cider#1. WOOL. Found this in the local store after reaching the small village-style town of Wool in Dorset. A stated apple with a lot of tasty sweetness, lots of depth through its hidden-in-taste strength. Loads of apple aroma too. Good but not too much in one go!!!
