Visited September 2024. This fancy burger joint is situated close to the steps of Keswick's Moot Hall, which are the start and finish point of the Bob Graham Round. The restaurant name cleverly refers to both the Bob Graham and a round of drinks. For the uninitiated, the Bob Graham Round is a seminal and brutal fell (mountain) running challenge, which involves summiting a set list of 42 fells within 24 hours, running 2.5 marathons over steep, rough ground and ascending nearly the height of Everest on the way. Some superfit individuals have even done extended Bob Grahams of 78 fells in 24 hours!

Inside, the restaurant is a full-on homage to both fell running and my favourite hobby of hill-bagging. There's a chalkboard with the results of the latest fell race, hill-bagging books, tables topped with Ordnance Survey maps, a large screen constantly showing beautiful videos of the fells, and in a frame on the wall (not so sure about this!) the shoes used by the current Bob Graham record holder. Upstairs there's a large screen showing stunning aerial footage of the fells. The service is superb - they only seem to employ really friendly and enthusiastic staff with an in-depth knowledge of the fells; many of them Bob Graham or Wainwright completers.

The food is restricted to burgers & sides - but they're some of the best burgers I've ever had, with loads of different and unusual options (including more and better veggie options than your average burger joint). Drink-wise; well, there are better beer options in Keswick (after all this is a burger restaurant not a craft beer place), but for most people there'll be a new tick or two among the 8-10 mostly local taps. For non-beer drinkers, my friends said the cocktails were some of the best they'd ever had.

Overall, for hill baggers and fell runners this place is a must-visit for the hill memorabilia and the staff's knowledge of the fells. For anyone else (although if you're not into fell running or hill bagging what are you doing in Keswick?!) come here for the superb food, incredible service and atmosphere and the local brews. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Keswick!

Can from Eurofoods, Banbury. Pale gold with a white head and a light fizz - feels a little flat actually. Sweetcorn up front with vague wafts of urine and grass. Quite thin and watery, but mainly (and possibly fortunately) utterly forgettable. Was almost unaware I was drinking it! A nothing beer.

Bag in a box at The Bridge House (JDW), Chippenham. Pinky-gold colour. Tart, fresh rhubarb up front balanced against creamy vanilla. Does what it says on the tin. Yes it's a tad on the sweet side, but the tartness offsets that making it a lot more drinkable than many of the sweet flavoured ciders out there. As a lover of rhubarb I enjoyed it.
