Can from HOTM. Thick purpley-red in colour. Thick, slushy mouthfeel too. Looks like a smoothie. Blackberry up front, then strawberries and raspberries, with the blueberries coming through in the finish. Sweet and surprisingly fresh, with a slight hint of sourness being the only sign of the underlying beer (or is that sourness coming from the fruit?). It's not a beer any longer, it's an alcoholic smoothie - as is evidenced by the fact that by beer-hating wife thoroughly enjoyed it. To be fair, I thoroughly enjoyed it too - I do like a good smoothie! Not entirely sure how to score it on a beer rating website though...?!

Can from American Candy & Liquor, Birmingham. New region tick for me. Gold with a white head and a light fizz. Dusty grains up front with a touch of sweetcorn. Improves towards the end with some honey and sweet lemon. Sub-par but drinkable.

Can from Sainsbury's, Wycombe - surprisingly the first I've rated in this style. Pale amber with a faint haze and a small white head. Lovely smell of papaya, peach and mango. Flavour is much more muted, still tropical notes with a hint of pine. Might be a pleasant creamy mouthfeel if it wasn't for the fact it's a bit too fizzy. Promised much, delivered less but still pleasant enough.

Can from Sainsbury's, Wycombe. Hazy pale yellow with a white head and an aggressive, prickly fizz. Pineapple to the fore with mango, lemon creams, a little white pepper and a faint hint of bitter grapefruit pith in the finish. It's a pleasant summer refresher apart from the annoyingly overdone carbonation.
