Can that my daughter bought me from M&S for Father's Day - cheers Em! Opaque reddish-pink with a lasting light pink head and a middling fizz. Tastes of raspberry and cherries. There's a light tartness, but it's quite dry. It's a pleasant brew and would possibly make a decent aperitif, but I did get a little bored of it by the end.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Copper coloured with an off-white head. Despite opening with a dry, twiggy bitterness, this turns out to be quite a fruity little number. Red apples and strawberry jam are backed up with plenty of malt and a touch of caramel. I rather enjoyed this - a pleasant surprise from a brewery that I'm not normally that fond of.
