(Draft at Muted Horn, Berlin, 19 July 2025) Amber colour with no head. Fruity nose with red apples, apple skin, cherries and plums. Fruity tart taste with notes of red apples, plums, sour cherries, oak wood, red wine and a generous acidity in the finish. A light tannic bitterness. Medium body, dry. Interesting, with lots of different fruits and a solid acidity. Very nice.

Craft beer bar just a short walk from U-bahn Schlesisches Tor in Kreuzberg. Corner bar with the bar up the stairs. A seating area at the entrance and two more by the bar. Up to 20 taps, good mixture of German and imported beers. Swift and friendly service. Quite slow on my last visit on a Saturday eve in July. I hope they get more visitors, since this was one of the first dedicated craft beer bars in Berlin when it opened its doors. Well worth a visit.

(Visited July 2025) Old school German style restaurant in Kreuzberg, just between U-bahn stations Kottbuser Tor and Moritzplatz. Interior is like a German beer hall, mainly in reddish brown colour, but divided into several rooms. Food is traditional German fair. Really good. Beer selection isn't really huge, six taps, hardly exceptional, but a couple of them are brewed for the restaurant by Barre. Swift and friendly service. Since it's just a short walk from Biererei, it's a great spot to get some food before or after that visit.
