A neighborood brewery in Prague 4, not too periferic but definitely far from tourist reach. Walkable distance from Vysehrad metro station (10-15 minutes), but the easiest path from city center are trams 6 or 14 with Otakarova and Namesti Bratri Synku respectively as your stops. A very traditional looking place, simple wooden interior with some tables outside. A restaurant on one side and the brewpub proper on the other, with different entrances, but they seem to be communicating. Pretty large inside. But... Maybe just unlucky, but lots of dogs going around the place freely and sticking their wet mouths and noses in my legs (there's a dog statue near the entrance, dunno...) plus a bird on a perch making louder and more pointed noises than you could imagine for a bird of that size. That aside, service was fine, didn't eat. 5 of their beers on tap, with their lezak plus 4 modern styles; tried only a couple, so-so quality. Prices for beer are definitely honest, i'd say average for non central Prague, didn't look at food menu. All in all an ok place, but my experience wasn't super good.

In the Holesovice area, a very short walk from tram stop 'letenske namesti'. Looks very small from the outside, actually not too small on the inside, with 2 rooms plus a tiny patio on the (very quiet) street. The place has a laid back, friendly atmosphere with a pretty young clientele and very friendly service. Indeed very much and mostly a cafè (some people had beer on their table, but many had not); still, they have their own beers as a plus. 6 were on tap (i guess more or less the usual standard) with a good range of modern styles + a 10° pilsner; looked like a seasonal oriented tap list (for summer: light gose, sour saison, blanche, pale ale...). Also a small food menu with a few vegan/vegetarian options avialable. Awesome super popular prices (though the plates are smaller then usual for czech standards, which still means average for more or less everyone else's standards). Overall: super nice place. If it's just beer, there are better options in the city (they are very much ok, but nothing exceptional from what i've had); but as for everything else, it's really lovely.

Very central but slightly off the touristic delirium. A renewed looking place inside white painted vaulted halls, quite big (ground floor + basement, a few rooms in both). Modern wooden forniture, low lights. It's a taproom + restaurant for a so-so brewery (though very traditionally czech, even in it's penchant for diacetyl, which i sort of appreciate). 5 of their core beers on tap (8, 10, 11, 12 + 13 polotmave), one special/seasonal, a fridge with PET bottles for takeaway. Well: while the beers are so-so (the 8 did it's job as a refreshing thirst quencher however) the food was pretty good, with efficient and kind service (not many people around though). Prices for food are perhaps slightly lower than average for prague center (especially the ones in the daily menu), and definitely lower for beer. Overall i ended up liking this place: beerwise it's just a taproom with the core beers of a so-so brewery, not much worth it, but as a lunch/dinner option in central prague it's a fair choice.

Pours dark golden to orangeish, pretty hazy for a kellerbier. Medium sized, quite dense and soft looking white head, shows good retention and average lacing. Moderate intensity in the aroma: mainly soft maltiness, with white bread/bread crumb, cerealy and caramel hints, some vague fruitiness (can't pick anything specific), maybe a thin hint of grassiness on the back of things. A very much ok, soft-feeling aroma, but not very defined/nitid or vivid. Very much the same in taste, both with taste notes and general feeling. Low to medium sweetness, quite low bitterness, some sweet edge in both taste and aftertaste, plus a not 100% pleasant earthy feeling in finish/aftertaste (though indeed very mild). Quite light in body, low to medium, delicate franconian carbonation; nicely smooth with a hint of softness. Last words: still a nice, highly drinkable keller on the overall, but a bit imprecise or possibly slightly off.

Hops Tropic from Birrificio Dada (Correggio (RE), Italy 🇮🇹)

Pours a slightly opaque golden, but still transparent. Medium sized, very pillowy per style white head. Ok retention, quite a lot of lacing. Quite good intensity in a simple, straightforward aroma: the slightest crackery malts base with a hint of fragrant feel to it, strong citric notes (bergamot, with it's bitter citric freshness, clearly dominant) plus less prominent (but still quite vivid) floral hops. Taste notes follow the aroma quite closely, now perhaps with the slightest spicy hops hint and also a bit of resinous feel on the back of things. Couldn't find any tropical fruits notes, though the brewery says so. Quite light sweetness, pretty intense bitterness (at least for current standards, they usually don't make new ipas that bitter anymore), showing up mostly in finish/aftertaste. Nice intensity, freshness and nitid taste notes; very straightforward but slightly harsh, with a bit too much contrast between the delicate malty base and the dry bittering note (not a problem of too much bitterness, i actually like my ipa a bit old style on that range, rather a problem of too much contrast, can't really tell why). Quite light bodied with slightly below average carbonation. Decently lively in the mouth, easily drinkable. Nice one on the overall, though i was not 100% persuaded.
