Have always loved porters and stouts. In recent years I have grown to really enjoy European and American lagers.

6 oz draft. Aroma of smoked malt and cured meats. Flavor follows with the addition of roasted coffee and old wood. The smoke isn’t over the top. Medium plus in body. Quaffable without a doubt.

16 oz draft. Aroma shows me, prunes, dates, yeast, and caramel. Flavor is soft in earthy grain and is lightly sweet. Has moderate bitter earthy tones to balance. Medium bodied with soft / creamy carbonation. Nice!

5 oz draft. Littleton Freehouse. Aromatic. Passion fruit, papaya, floral. The flavor is just as bright as the aroma. Brusting with fruit with a mild floral bitterness for balance. Not overly sweet at all. This is top tier in the style.

5 oz draft. Littleton Freehouse. Crystal clear in appearance. Very soft Belgian yeast characteristics with mild black pepper. Flavor is yeast, mild sweet malt and ends on light black pepper. No flaw. A touch lean in body. Pretty much what you’re expect in the style.

16 oz can. Aroma is banana, coconut and strong lactic acid. Flavor is exactly the same with some cinnamon swirled in there. Lactic acid is strong, so you definitely know this is a sour ale. Thankfully, the mouth feels creamy and not thick and chunky. I’m still surprised these are so popular.
