Have always loved porters and stouts. In recent years I have grown to really enjoy European and American lagers.

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Aroma of oranges, white grape and bread-like malt. The flavor starts out with orange and white grape.
Secondary peach and soft bready malt.
No pine found here like in Super Heavy Cut. Super juicy and soft mouthfeel. One huge juice bomb. Very mild bitterness late in finish. Awesome!

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Aroma of soft tropical fruit and mild non-descriptive citrus. Flavor of candied pineapple, orange marmalade, very mild marijuana. Shows some juice character with a balancing better finish. Well constructed without a doubt. But certainly not as awesome as some of their other IPAs.

Number 1 with a bullet !! 16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. I’m super lucky to get to try this next to the double dry hopped Orchid. Aroma mostly guava fruit with mild haystacks.
Flavor shows white grape, grapefruit and plenty of guava. Mild bready malt background. Soft supple mouthfeel with no ABV shown. ( as per usual for this brewer). I would say I like the DDH Orchid just a fraction better.

16 oz can in a trade S & L. Aroma shows me hay stacks, white grape and t Mild marijuana. The flavor is wonderful. The haystacks, grapefruit white grape I find with Nelson. Also shows a very mild undercurrent of marijuana, which I’ve never gotten this hop before.
Soft supple mouthfeel with no ABV shown. Really great despite the weed.

500 ml bottle in a trade with Clarkvv. Thank you! Aroma is soft roast, mild Tawny port, berries. Some soft notes, chocolate, burnt toffee, roast malts, Black licorice / anise. Some soft ash. Not a thick a body but medium plus.
This certainly does resemble take the gray from all those years ago.
It was a nice trip down memory lane. To an era where imperial stouts were released for special occasions and not common place.

16 oz can shared by tfontana. Aroma shows super light roast, mild vanilla. Flavor is pretty tame. Seems like the vanilla has fallen off. Body is about normal for the style. It is fine. No can date. Probably past its prime.

16 oz can shared by tfontana. Aroma has mild grapefruit and hints of blackberries. The flavor does have a mango, blackberry, pineapple nuances without any bitterness. Some juicy texture. Good. Average.
