can from kihoskh, very dark brown, brown small head.
aroma is boozy and almost chili like at first, then soon changes over to dark chocolate and roasted malts, string booze note but can't tell what booze without looking. guess would be rum.
flavor is roasted malty, strong boozy note , rum like again but not sure, some roasted malty , charred woody smoked notes, booze could also be smoked whisky, faint vanilla. end is more boozy than roasted malty. Not bad, but quite different.

really really nice hoppy aroma, slightly citrussy hoppy then pine and grapefruit, later i get mangoes and peaches but never too much of it.
flavor is sweet citrus fruity juicy hoppy with some pine and grapefruit bitterness but not that much. fainter notes of sweet malts. Quite hop driven flavor but the base malty flavor is great too. tastes like IPA tasted 15 years ago, and also a little bit like a good homebrew IPA, easy drinking. some bitterness unlike modern NEIPA's. they nailed the fruits in this one.

pitch black with a dark brown bubbly head. looks like a serious and awesome BA imp. stout really nice and balanced bourbon ba imp stout aroma, roasted malts , bourbon, well balanced, finer notes of wood, vanilla, licorice, all very well blended, aroma rounded off by espresso bitterness and coffee notes but everything is both gentle and powerful. no bitter caramel or burnt plastic or overly booziness or overly sweetness which usually happen with crazy potent imp stouts. A masterpiece so far as aroma goes.
flavor is a bit artificial and a very long shot away from the aroma. i get roasted malts, vanilla flavoring, bourbon, bourbon soaked oak chips lagering, faint licorice, faint chocolate. some syrup or honey. a bit sweet. but most of all, the flavors are sort of artificial and the roasted malts are having a hard time to shine. My rating would be a bit lower if it was not for the out-of-this-world fantastic aroma.

strong exotic fruity hoppy aroma also with a lot of west coasty notes like pine and grapefruit.very hoppy. very nice. not overly juicy but real hoppy.
flavor is bitter exotic fruity with hazy ipa like weird bitterness. almost licorice like notes too. not the best hoppy flavor, but at least it is fairly intense.

can from kihoskh
I have recently tried several of the DBM cans from recent years and I think they are great and superior to most other big imp stouts available.
normally I first really get to appreciate how awesome they are when i taste some other imp stout after.
pitch black, smooth creamy head , brown to light brown.
normal to mild roasted malty aroma, quite sweet.
flavor is roasted malts, brown sugar, bit of coffee. the end is seriously roasted malty with strong coffee notes, the end lasts forever and just gets more coffee bitter and roasted as time goes by. End is awesome and about as good as it can possibly get. faint dark caramel and burnt plastic notes in the end that drags down i tiny but, but i really have to look for those notes.

roasted malty and wood aroma, dark caramel, faint vanilla, dark chocolate. pretty tight stuff, good dark chocolate malt cake aroma.
Flavor is dark chocolate, wood, sweet licorice, roasted malts, dark caramel. A bit too pastry for my taste - tastes more of the stuff added and the barrelling than of roasted malts. better than many others though, just not top of the line.

can from kihoskh 2025
Rounded roasted malty aroma, dark chocolate, brown sugar, bit of vanilla.
flavor is "lakridskonfekt" (something like vanilla, licorice, coca, coconut). salty licorice, roasted malts. end is more boozy and dark caramelly than roasted malty, but there are some more hardcore roasted malty notes in the far end.
Seems to be a lot more gentle and rounded than the bourbon 2025 - but also a lot less roasted malty compared to that one. (and very roasted malty compared to most other imp stouts). I almost feel like trying to blend the two and see what happens.

tangy aroma, oranges, a bit bitter-ripe. too bittersweet for my taste
flavor is malty, powdered sugar, grapefruit and oranges, boozy fruit cocktail, end is grapefruity bitter. flavor is better than aroma, less bittersweet, the citrus fruits seem fresher and the sweetnes is more sugary than bitter-ripe-fruity.

can from kihoskh
pours absolutely pitch black and settles black with a dark brown head
aroma is surprisingly mild with tons of roasted malts and some subtle bourbon and wood notes. licorice, coffee - espresso like notes. pretty solid heavy imp stout aroma.
flavor is intensely roasted malty with quite a lot salty wood and salty licorice.
not as much bourbon as i remember from earlier years, but still a seriously heavy and very roasted malty - not very ROASTED malty, but VERY roasted maly brew - the strongest bourbon note i get is probably chocolate then vanilla then wood and dark caramel and licorice. I think i liked the 2024 better. perhaps this one needs more time in the can
