Backlog May 2009. Golden body under an off-white head. Aroma is fruity and a bit harsh. Taste is fruity with cooked asparagus, quite sweet. Body feels thin. Plain and boring, feels a bit off as well.

Backlog May 2009. Clear golden body under a white head. Aroma is sweetish corn like. Taste is sticky sweet and alcoholic. One dimensional and not very nice.

Backlog May 2009. Dark brown, almost black body under a small, beige head. Aroma of dark, roasted malt, liquorice and chocolate. Taste is sweet, dark, roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, broth, a touch of juniper and nice bitterness. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste. Nice.

Backlog May 2009. Dark red-brown body under a dense beige head. Strong aroma of dark malt with hint of liquorice and alcohol. Taste is sweet, yet harmonic with sweet, dark malt, some liquorice, hint of dry fruit and gentle bitterness with warming alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste.

Backlog May 2009. Black body under a small beige head. Strong aroma of dark malt and liquorices. Taste is sweet, dark malt, smooth roasted, dark chocolate, coffee and liquorices. Balanced bitterness and relatively well hidden alcohol. Quite nice.

Backlog May 2009. Deep reddish-brown body under a dense, beige head. Aroma has light roasted dark malt, beef-stock and coffee. Taste is dark, roasted malt, some caramel, some chocolate and moderate bitterness. Medium body with average aftertaste. Not great, but not bad either, quite nice in a way without pushing any limits.

Bottle @ home. Unclear golden body under a white head. Aroma and taste are mostly ginger. I guess this is a matter if you like ginger beer or not. Strong on ginger in aroma and taste, not too sweet, refreshing.

Bottle @ home. Black body under a small, disappearing beige head. Strong and delicate aroma of dark malt, coffee, dry fruit, some wood and smooth whisky. Taste is rich, nice and surprisingly smooth for a beer at this strength. Sweet, dark malt, dark chocolate, dry fruit, smooth quality coffee, hint of wood and well-integrated smooth whisky flavour. Body in perfect balanced, and that goes for the flavours as well, with long lasting sweet, warming aftertaste. Pure joy.
