Bottle pour shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque black with nice viscosity, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is cognac, bourbon, Port, toffee, almond and vanilla. Taste is strong cognac, oak, Port, toffee, lighter almond, vanilla, late bourbon. Smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Great strength, complexity and balance.

Can (1/25/24) from Oliver's Beverage Center, Albany. Virtually opaque dark brown, thinnest of rings of head and no lacing. Aroma is strong, earthy, roasted peanuts (mildly burnt). Taste is strong roasted peanut and malts, light chocolate and lactose. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Not a super rich, sweet peanut butter but, for the age, pretty respectable.

Can from trade with Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! Lightly hazy, bright (almost neon) yellow with thin cap of head with fair retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong lemon, lime, honey and bread. Taste as aroma. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Excellent strength for 4.4% and nice fruit additions vs. your average lager. Enjoyable.

Can from the brewery in Westfield. Virtually opaque, dark brown, thin head with good persistence, no lacing. Aroma is caramel, baked bread, wheat. Taste is wheat, baked bread, mild chocolate. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and earthy finish as taste. This is half of what was advertised but missing the banana and clove that would have made this exceptional. Not terrible as a beer but disappointing. Proper yeast strain?

Growler pour from the brewery. Very dark brown with ring of head, light lacing. Aroma is strong baked bread, coffee, cocoa. Taste is strong baked bread and chocolate (on dark/baker's side). Smooth, creamy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. A very nice Dunkel. Its high rating on the UTher site is well deserved.

Can from Eddy's Beverage Company, Saratoga Springs. Cloudy, bright, juicy yellow with thin cap of head, fair retention, no lacing. Aroma is strong mango and vanilla. Taste is strong mango, slight tart character, and vanilla. Smooth, frothy texture, somewhat watery, average-to-lively carbonation, finish as taste. An interesting iteration of a Cream Ale, to be sure, but they executed what they sought out.
