Pint can, another in a long line of imperial stouts from AleSmith that I usually enjoy. It is time to see about this one. Snifter catches the pour, black body of course with a descending head of tan foam. A considerable amount of coconut in the nose with some chocolate and grain. The taste, oh my, this is good. Vanilla in front of everything else, chocolate , some boozy bourbon, a bit of caramel, malt, coffee and marshmallows. Tasty as always, considerably sweet and rich, up there with their best.

One pint can obtained from Half Time in my last order, glad to finally taste it. I have my ABGB tulip glass in place and the tab is lifted. Oh oh, a volatile opening, maybe it was me but be aware of the possibility. The pour is a semi-transparent gold-orange body with a persistent cover of completely white foam. The smell is all around after my mishap and it is pleasant enough in the style. Plenty hoppy, yellow fruit, bread and a touch of grapefruit. The taste is only an improvement. Hops again, resin, some orange marmalade, grapefruit in abundance and a strong malt backbone. A bit of sweetness offset by lots of bitterness. Plenty good in my estimation.

I have a 33 cl bottle acquired from Smaakhuis earlier in the year. For this tasting I brought out the Teku glass, bottle is opened and I proceed. The appearance is a semi-hazy dull gold liquid completed by a big head of fluffy white foam that will leave some lacing I think. I take a drink. Dried apricots, grain, yeast, a touch of booze, malt, leather and a small nectarine sweetness. A substantial feeling while tasting this beer. I appreciate tripels a lot and this is a good one, really good.
