12 oz. can from the 12 Days of Beer 12-pack from Aldi. Pours a pitch black color with a small tan head and decent retention. Zero lacing. Roasted malt aroma and very light coffee. Similar flavors, with lightly roasted malts and barely a hint of coffee flavor (and that's okay). Smooth, clean, and light. Too thin for a stout. And too carbonated for a stout too. No bitterness. Drinks like a dark malt soda. The flavor is fine IMHO, but a poor example of the style.

16.9 oz. can from the Costco 2025 German Biergarten Collection. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a tight off-white head and very good retention. Great lacing. Pale malt and light caramel malt aroma. The taste follows the nose, with a mix of pale malt and caramel malt/toffee flavors. Super clean and smooth. And the 6.8% ABV is invisible. Medium body. Low carbonation Very low bitterness. Great beer.

The taste follows the nose, with lots of bready malt flavor throughout. Nothing unique here, but a good example of the style. Smooth, clean, and lightly sweet. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness. Nice beer.

Flavors of sweet dark malt, caramel, and toffee all mixed together. Very smooth and clean. Medium body. Very low carbonation. Very low bitterness. Very enjoyable.

The taste follows the nose, with even more malty and bready notes than the aroma. Really smooth and clean. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness. Good beer.

12 oz. can from the 12 Days of Beer 12-pack from Aldi. Pours a mostly clear pale yellow-gold color with a white head and decent retention. Zero lacing. Tangerine/ citrus aroma, as expected. The taste follows the nose: Light tangerine/citrus flavor in a light pale lager base beer. No wheat ale flavor at all. Clean and smooth. Thin, light body. Drinks like a soda. Medium-high carbonation. No bitterness. Tastes fine, but kind of a weak beer.

12 oz. can from Total Wine in Greenville, SC. Thanks Kathy! Pours a crystal clear light yellow color with a white head and decent retention. A few spots of lacing. Pale malt aroma. And pretty standard pale malt flavor too. Very crisp, clean, and smooth. Very mainstream profile. Extra bonus points for being a Volunteer beer. Medium-light body. High carbonation. Low bitterness. Go Vols!
