Draught @ The Wicked Monk, Brooklyn (Oct 2024). Clear golden with a small foamy whitish head, yeast aroma, high carbonation, bitter yeasty taste with basement flavors and faint alcohol undertones, thin body, long finish. A nice saison, a bit more bitter than expected.

Visited in October 2024. An Irish pub in Bay Ridge, off the trodden path, with mostly local clientele, quite a large restaurant with multiple spaces. Dark wood paneling and stone walls, high ceilings, and a small altar (?) at one corner. The place looks like a chapel actually. Long wood top bar on one side. The usual ubiquitous LCD screens showing sports. 26 beers on tap, around 18 bottles/cans including good options. Quite an extensive food menu. A nice place to visit.

Draught @ The Hoptimist, Manhattan. Cloudy lemon yellow with a foamy of-white head, citrus peel-unripe mango aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel-unripe mango taste, faint piney flavor, thin body, long bitter citrus peel finish. Bitter but flavorful.

Draught @ The Hoptimist, Manhattan. Dark brown with faint red highlights, small beige frothy ring of a head, sweet mocha aroma, medium carbonation, chocolatey taste with faint coffee flavor, faint alcohol undertones, smooth body, long milk chocolate finish. Very smooth and easy to drink.

Visited in October 2024. At a busy main street location in Napierville, with 12 beers in tap and 5 cans. There is a stone top bar in the middle of the high ceilinged taproom. Just one LCD screen and soft rock music in the background. The food menu is brief but has very good options. The beer is also good. A good place to vist if you're around.
