Draft at Wolf on the Corner, Eastbourne. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting, thin, broken, off-white head. The aroma is roasty, herbal, light aromatic. The flavour is moderate to light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, herbal, aromatic, light liquorice bitter paste. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice, but didn’t really taste like a 10.5% beer and there was no sweetness to mask the alcohol.

Opened two months ago. No idea what it was previously, but this kind of character didn’t appear overnight. Looks like it’s been here for years. Lots of wood, mosaic tiles and dark green paint! 10 taps. Lots of cider. WiFi and very friendly service. Great can selection. A very welcome addition to the Eastbourne beer scene.
