Draft at the Saffrons taproom, Eastbourne. Poured a hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, somewhat light, juicy lemon citrus, mineral, light hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

440ml can from Left Field Beer, Solihull. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is coffee, light bretty yeast. The flavour is over moderate sour, with a smooth, mineral, tart, bretty puckering sour palate. Pretty awful if I’m honest. The sourness wasn’t expected at all and I’m not sure it should even be there. I can’t decide if it’s Brett or just a plain old infection. I believe it’s infection. Had to drain pour this which is disappointing for a relatively expensive beer.

440ml can from who knows where. Poured a clear reddish brown colour with a short-lived, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is big raspberries and grapes unsurprisingly. The flavour is moderate sour, light sweet, with a light, crisp, tart raspberry, light sweet vanilla palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation. It’s ok to taste of course but I struggled to drink the whole can alone and it’s not something i’d ever buy again.

The flavour is moderate to light liquorice bitter and sweet, with a smooth, somewhat light, watery, sugary, marshmallow, light aromatic, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.
