0.33 l can from 'Rebelbeercans', canned in June 2024. Hazy, deep ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of molasses, caramel, raisins and prunes. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and slightly boozy taste of molasses, caramel, raisins, prunes, licorice root and light cinnamon, followed by a long, gently bitter, slightly peppery-boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid Barley Wine, a tad too boozy.

0.75 l bottle from 'Rebelbeercans', 2023 vintage, bottled in May 2023. Slightly hazy, golden with a medium large, slightly fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sourish, rather funky, quite fruity and a bit vinous aroma of overripe lemon, horse blanket, hay, leather, oak and light gooseberry. Minimally sweet, gently sour, rather fruity, gently funky and slightly vinous taste of overripe lemon, oak, leather, hay, some white grapes and light gooseberry, followed by a medium long, gently tart, fairly woody-dry and a little peppery finish. Medium body, gently astringent and rather effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Massively refreshing, very well-balanced brew. Tastes pretty much like a Geuze, not very vinous, but almost feels like a sparkling wine.

0.33 l can from 'Hetbiermoment.nl', best before October 2027. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, pistachio, roasted hazelnut and light vanilla. Heavily sweet, malty, quite roasty, moderately bitter taste of praline, mocha, pistachio, roasted hazelnut and a touch of vanilla, followed by a long, fairly roasty-bitter finish. Full body, smooth and oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Lovely sipper, very sweet and rich, and the pistachio matches perfectly with it.

0.44 l can from 'Hetbiermoment.nl'. Very hazy, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity-floral and a bit dank aroma of passion fruit, mango, pineapple and orange. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, very fruity-floral and a bit dank aroma of passion fruit, mango, orange, pineapple and some oats, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, very smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very solid DIPA, nicely fruity and smooth.

0.33 l can from 'Rebelbeercans', best before June 2027. Hazy, reddish amber with a large, dense, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a bit roastyaroma of caramel, nuts, some whisky and light red fruits. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity and a bit roasty taste of caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts, some whisky and light red fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, a little woody-dry finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent ale, very well-balanced.

Sweetish, gently fruity-floral, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of pear, peach, banana, honey, vanilla and some clove. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, quite fruity-floral, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly grassy taste of banana, pear, peach, honey, vanilla and light clove, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Pleasant Tripel, nicely hoppy, not too sweet at all.
