Draught Fluffy, frothy and dense, lightly yellowish head over fully hazy yellow beer. Citrus, other acids as ascorbic and salicylic, some other pale fruit. Citruspeel, pencil gum, loafers, and again those unusual acids. Musk and grapefruit in the finish. Feels rather well-bodied; oily and almost chewy. Good carbonation. Nothing new - as well as nothing amiss.

Draught Huge, dense yellow head over greenish tinted pale golden beer. Fresh New World hops with lots of ureum, traces of pineapple, citrus, asafoetida in descending order. Bitter, grapefruit(peel), again ureum, traces of resing. Feels more slick than the clear aspect would suggest. Lots of (fruity) sugars in the aftertaste; better carbonated than looking as well. Grew on me, but too much harsh ureum in the nose.

Towering, just off-white head, unheard of for a gueuze. Orangeish golden beer, hazy. Dry, spicy & herbal, straw, farmyard, mounting horseblanket, leathersoap. Slight if remarkable sweetness, sweet wheat, almost bready, again leather(soap), horseblanket; dried stonefruit with a lot of lactic acid. Acidthinning, light acidburn, (wheat)slickness against the lingual incisors. Quite good Oude Gueuze, but to me, the difference with the current better gueuzebottlings is very small indeed.

Small white rim on orangey metallic golden beer. Sweeter, vinous nose as from white dessert wine. Stonefruit, peach and faint caramel. Again sweet wine/peach with a harder lemony finish, bit leathery, dried lemonpeel. Seriously tart, dry-out effect; good carbonation. Well-done sour, fruity and vinous, but IMHO not really a flemish Oud Bruin. Txs to Stef!

-1 point for the irritating wax. Head gone in seconds over faintly hazed, somewhat darker golden beer. Peach, jeans, sweet buns with glazing. Wild yeast notes. Very sour, lactic and fruitacids. Stonefruit as peach, if unripe. Peach retronasal obvious. Tart, acidburn, lipsmacking acidity, acidthinning, lean. Sharp, severe, almost harsh - one for the real sourheads.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7.5 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 7 | Overall - 7.5
Medium white head over fully hazy orange-golden beers. Typical Nevel nose: floral, mild spices, and something refreshing as-but-not mint. Chlorophyl, and the camphor-like aroma from the sweet wormwood. Sourish and herbal/floral. Citrus, lactic acid, garden herbs (wormwood). Acidthinning and lightb-burn. Very well-carbonated, some slickness and a fine, almost wooly texture. And another little gem from this regretted brewery.

Small, bit Champenoise-like head by fine pearling in cleare copper-golden beer. End of bottle fully yeast-laden. Smells form opening as herbs from the roadside. And I do get some horseblanket/Brettanomyes notes. Of course quite spicy, Fantôme obliging. Shoepolish and Bretts. Spiciness isn't overly obvious in the mouth. The flavour is not 100% clean, but I don't find traces of infection. Some grains (wheat?). Mild acidthinning and -burn; medium to well-carbonated. Wheat(?)slickness. Quite nice sour, with a distinct lambic-y touch. Quite well done, Dany! Txs to Stef!
