On tap at Taphouse by Salvaje Cerveza, pours a clear copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma reveals a nice marriage of the Belgian yeast and hops, with plenty of esters, fruity hops, and sweet toffee malts. Flavour likewise accomplishes the hybrid well, with plenty of bitter hops, big Belgian yeasty fruitiness, and some red fruits. Finishes quite bitter and yet harmonized well. Good stuff.

On tap at Taphouse by Salvaje Cerveza, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is robust, with medium roast, a touch of earthy coffee, and a hint of dry cocoa powder. Flavour is dry, with a fairly sturdy, with earthy, toasted malt, and a touch of dry coffee. Not the deepest malt character but clean and well-designed. Pleasant.

On tap at Taphouse by Salvaje Cerveza, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma has a nice expression of Belgian yeast, some white pepper, and biscuity notes. Flavour has a reasonable expression of Belgian yeast, with minimal esters, doughy malt, and cereal notes. Not the optimal expression of the yeast but pretty solid structure. Decent.

Easily the best brewery experience we had in Panama City. Beautifully set-up, almost like a living room. Roughly 15 beers available, with flights of 4 x 6 oz pours available for $10 USD. They had some ambitious styles too (Belgian IPA, black IPA, PB imperial stout) and, while, nothing was incredible, most beers we sampled were pretty solid. They also had some bottles to go, including a brett saison, brett rye saison, and various Belgians. Mandatory stop when in Panama City.

On tap at 3 Gatos, pours jet black with a small tan head. Nose has soft lactose, earthy notes, and toasted malt. Flavour is dominated by the lactose, with gentle toasted malt and a hint of cocoa. Too driven by the lactose and doesn’t have the malt base it needs to have. Okay at best.

On tap at 3 Gatos, pours a cloudy dark amber red with a small beige head. Aroma actually smells okay, with some resinous hops, a hint of pine, and bready malt. Flavour definitely has a hoppy punch, with some bitter pine, some resinous hops, earthiness, and bready malt. Not the cleanest hop expression or delicate balance, but it’s not too badly done.

On tap at 3 Gatos, pours a cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of lacto, tart citrus, and hay. Flavour is fairly on point, with lacto, some citrus, and yogurt. A bit too yogurty but reasonably brewed. Competent.
