440ml can. Murky golden with a white head. Aroma of ripe tropical guava, mango, peach, citrus and pine. Taste is very juicy, tropical fruits, guava, mango, peach, mandarin, lime, with a touch of piney bitterness at the end. Full bodied, smooth.
These recent Gold Tops have all been bangers, barely even noticed the lactose in this one as it actually had some decent hop bitterness.

375ml bottle. Pours black with a thin brown head. Aroma of honeycomb, chocolate, maple syrup. Taste is sweet, rich, lots of honeycomb and maple syrup, chocolate, chewy fudgy malts, gentle booze warmth and some bitterness at the end. Medium bodied, bigger than the S'mores version at least.
A solid pastry stout, thought the S'mores tasted much nicer but the body of this one was noticeably better

440ml can. Lightly hazed golden with a white head. Aroma of guava, mango, mandarin. Taste is more citrusy, mandarin, zesty orange and grapefruit, tropical mango, light creamy sweetness and mild piney bitter finish. Medium bodied.
It's good, but if we're going retro I'd always prefer a proper westie rather than this hybrid sort of thing.

375ml bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head disappearing immediately. Aroma of chocolate and nutty malts, marshmallows. Taste is very sweet, chocolate, vanilla, marshmallows, nutty malts, gentle boozy warmth. Medium bodied, smooth.
Minor complaints: I do wish they'd have added a bit of smoke to really sell the campfire vibe, and it lacked body for an 11% stout. That aside, a solid pastry stout and no lactose.
