7fiddy at home. It pours hazy deep red with a decent off - white head. The aroma is smooth, malt - driven, rather fruity, red berries, cranberry, jammy berry rolly polly, fruit cake and bready malt. The taste is smooth, chewy, toothy, bitter - sweet, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, cranberry, raspberry, toasty spice, warming booze, slightly medicinal, smokey, charred vibes and leather with a drying, chewy finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. A fun toothy malt bomb.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear girder orange with a small fizzy white head. The aroma is sweet and intoxicating, white sugar, tropical fruits, tinned fruit cordial, classic Irn Bru vibes and tangy Irn Bru bar. The taste is super sweet and sugary, intensely so, diet Irn bru, bubblegum, candy, pic n mix, liquid girder and sherbet. Average body and prickly carbonation. I love fierce but this is horrid stuff. Been a long time since I had irn bru so safe to assume I dislike that also.

Can direct from Brewdoge. It pours clear gone with a small fizzy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, fruit, peach, nectarine, apricot, tinned fruits, chamomile and jam. The taste is crisp, dry, clean, snappy, puckering, lemony, zippy fruits, peach, apricot, nectarine, passion fruit, floral and chamomile with a zingy finish. Light body and average fizzy carbonation. Bright and quenching. As with the other version I find them both well made and quaffable.

Can thanks to my bro. It pours spiky jet black with a small, deep head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, charred vibes, umami, salty liquorice, treacle, molasses, toothy, chewy, cacao nibs and some fruit cake. The taste is slick, oily, rich, decadent, charred malt, umami, liquorice, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, warming booze, some bitterness, leather, tannin, burnt toast, malt loaf, peppery spice and charred oak with a dark roasted and dry finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. A rich umami stout. Robust and savoury.

Can from BrewDog online. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, toasty, slick, sweet, decadent, big hit of pistachio, almond biscotti, rich milk chocolate, definitely "Dubai chocolate", forrero rocher, vanilla and fruity vibes. The taste is initially smooth, dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet, chocolate, rich and decadent, umami, quite savoury, roasted malt, definite pistachio character, Dubai chocolate, slightly ashy, warming booze and burnt toast with a drying and toasty finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. I was worried this would have been too sweet, but it works pretty well.
