Can from Raynville Superstore. It pours crystal clear golden - blonde with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, tangy, tropical fruit vibes, mango, green banana, fruit cocktail and tinned peach. The taste is initially smooth, then you get some bitterness/dryness right upfront, fruit cocktail, green banana, pithy citrus, green, weedy edge, grapefruit vines, peppery spice and resin with a drying, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I like the bitter snap to it. Moreish.

Haven't seen his in the UK for years. Picked up at Tesco Danestone. It pours jet black with a thick, creamy khaki head. The aroma is soft, smooth, creamy, rich roasted malt, coffee beans, touch of milk chocolate and praline. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, toasty grains, burnt toast, coffee grounds, mild acidity, cacao, ashy, charred and peppery spice with a dark roasted finale. Average body, velvety carbonation and creamy mouth feel. Drinkers very easily. Decent macro Irish Stout, there is certainly a lot worse out there.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours hazy deep cherry red with a thick and fluffy pink head. The aroma is sweet and perfumed, artificial cherry, candy, cherry drops/tunes, brown bread, jam, touch of caramel and boozy cherry liqueur. The taste is crisp, tart and tangy, then sweetens up, cherry candy, cherry drops, slightly medicinal character, touch of acidity, cherry cola, sticky, warming alcohol and damp grain with a drying, fruity finale. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. The tanginess just about saves it. Feels a bit too artificial/candy-like and less so a beer. I am glad for the abv to try and battle against the sweetness. I drank the bottle, but wouldn't come back for another.

The aroma is dark roasted malted, sticky, tarry, treacle, umami, burnt toast, toasted nut, sticky smoked meats, dull vanilla, Islay whisky, rocky road, dried fruits and fruit cake. The taste is firmly dry, dark roasted malt, savoury, umami, chewy, toothy, dried fruits, berry, fruit cake, bitter - sweet, dull acidity, sticky, warming booze, burnt treacle, liquorice, pipe tobacco, lightly peated whisky and light medicinal vibes. Finish is drying and roasty..fulsome body, fine carbonation and slick mouth feel. A bit toothy number. Fun slipper, but sits fairly heavy.
