Bottle care of Ken t Lela 42. It pours cloudy deep brown with a thick yellow - beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, malt loaf, chocolate cake, dark fruits, fruit cake and candied citrus. The taste is bitter, pine needles, cocoa, resin, grass, spice, coffee grounds, light ash and wood with a warming finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. A fair cda. A bit over carbed that’s for sure.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Kenny. Pours hazy brown with a big, foamy off-white head. The nose holds toasted pine, brown bread, grapefruit. Light to medium sweet flavour with nice piney character, toast, brown sugar, ripening orange. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes with more piney resin, well toasted malts, rindy orange, melon. Pretty decent CDA gear.

Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is krachtig, bitter hoppig en licht zoet met iets van koffie, mokka, chocolade en zwarte thee.

RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. Shared bottle at Lambicus. Dark reddish brown colour, nearly black. Medium roasty aroma and flavour, dry. Medium bitter. Not quite what you expect from Belgium, but an acceptable black IPA.
