A collaborative effort with friends in the coffee world to celebrate the bright, more expressive flavor that can come from hops and coffee in place of traditional of bitterness. This beer is brewed with wheat, fermented with our house brett culture, and blended with a rotating light roast. Together they create a beer rich with awakening aromatics, and nuanced fermentation and fruited character.

On draft at Spacebar. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick white head. Fruity aroma with tangerine and some pine. Flavors are moderately bitter pine.

Draft at Salud. Hazy to cloudy yellow color white head. Earthy dusty aroma. Taste is summer fruit with an earthy coffee edge. OK

Draft at Harbor Bar. Mostly clear, thick, foamy white head. A little coffee, a little hop. Smooth feel. Solid beer.

Cityfresh, Bushwick: pours dull copper with white head. Aroma is that typical green pepper aroma that wild ales have when mixed with coffee... no idea why. Taste is funky pepper, hefty coffee, low bitterness. Weird but not that good. Def not worth the price.

From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is coffee. Crisp hoppy and lingering coffee. Smooth and coffee lasting impression. Bitter and slight herbal finish.

Draft Extreme Beer Fest 2016. Hazy gold in color with a lower level of carbonation. Aroma is mostly coffee bean with traces of pine and fruity hops.
Taste is indeed interesting. The hops are here without a doubt but really subdued by long lasting roasted coffee. Bitterness is moderate with coffee lasting throughout the entire sip. Medium in body with a soft carbonation level. Kind of all over the map and doesn’t mesh real well overall. But with that said, it’s so strange I would give it another sample if offered.

Draft at Blind Tiger - NYC. Pours hazy gold with a frothy white cap. Nice coffee aroma, underscored with a bit of ripe orange. Medium sweet flavor with rich and lightly bitter coffee, some bready malts, faint cocoa notes. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Balanced finish, with more fresh coffee, mellow citrusy tang, orange, grapefruit. Looks tough on paper but the end result actually works exceptionally well.

If I’d never had Kent Falls’ beers before, I’d be highly skeptical of a coffee-infused 100% brett fermented IPA, to say the least. Even having had Waymaker and having loved it, I was still pretty suspicious to try this.....
Clear bronze/brass liquid is obviously a bit darker than the pale blonde waymaker, but is not really dark (dosent look like a brown ale, perhaps just a crystal malted IPA). Head is light beige, small, receding to cover fairly steadily.
Soft, even, mild coffee notes in the nose mix with honey, graham cracker, vanilla, sweet cream and just a touch of fruitiness from the hops/yeast. There’s no power struggle in the nose, rather just a pleasantly fruity, coffee mild-like aroma with no alcohol or flaw.
The flavor is soft, velvety coffee, but backed by creamy-sweet honey notes, an easygoing roasted bitterness and juicy hops that somehow don’t clash with the coffee. Moderate to low carbonation, but tight and ample enough with no alcohol or flaw. Don’t know how this works, but it certainly does and it’s really impressive. Ordered a second one a few hours later it was so good.
