Two Roads is driving a tanker truck down a road less traveled with this Passion Fruit Gose (pronounced GO-sah). This series of unique ales are kettle soured in our very own tanker truck trailer – a former milk tanker like the one on the front label – that’s parked right on the grounds of our brewery! Featuring a nose of BIG tropical fruit, the taste is of light wheat and a perfect harmony of tartness and sweet fruit that’s mingled with salinity to really bring the flavors to life – this refreshing gose is the perfect accompaniment to any occasion.*

Can from the lcbo. Hazy orange pour with a small white head. Aroma is tart, slightly savoury, with some pungent passionfruit. Mouth feel is light, carb is soft. Finish is tart, great passionfruit flavour, and a slight savouriness.

Canned. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized thick foamy head. Aroma is salt, some fruits and mild tart wooden tones. Flavour is pretty much the same elements, but ends up rather dry. Quaffable!

Pure, crisp golden and lightly coppered glow with a nice three to four centimetre tall, rather soapy off-white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of bright soured and tart passionfruit with a touch of apples, pears and some subdued brine/salt elements, but the yeast and wheat also come through fairly strongly. Light-bodied; Strong grassy flavour at first that is quite dry and only after that does the fruits come out with a noticeable amount of apples/pears or some filler (peaches?) and then a tiny bit of sour/tart notes from the aforementioned passionfruit, but very mild, then the wheat hits towards the finish. Aftertaste shows some soft fruitiness with a dash of soured/tart flavours and then a bit more sweetness, but the wheat and yeast flavours dominate and end with a tiny bit of a brine or salt note that does bring our some more sweetness. Overall, a nice and very mild beer that shows some passionfruit and a touch of the malts, but this easy-drinking and a touch salty as well - which seems to hit all the right notes for the style. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, pruchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 09-March-2018 for US$3,09 sampled at home in Washington on 13-December-2019 as the 13th Beer of my 2019 Advent Calendar - my lucky number.

500ml can @ Chez Sophie. Pours a misty golden yellow, large white head. Sour passionfruit nose. Crisp, tangy, sour character overall, mild passionfruit. Decent fruit sour just a little too tangy.
