Hardywood Cuvée Gold artfully blends the elegance of wine country with the gentle and balanced characteristics of a traditional Belgian-style Golden Ale. Combining both young and mature vintages aged in freshly emptied Sauvignon Blanc barrels, Cuvée Gold offers light earthy aromatics, a subtle sweetness and a hint of toasted oak that are delightfully dry and delicate on the palate, with lasting white grape and stone fruit undertones Read Less

750 ml bottle from Cardinal Trading. Grapes, white wine, vanilla, green apple, lemon in the nose. Fresh and slightly funky. Flavor is more funky, with lactic acid notes, yogurt, fresh cream, white wine, oak. Light, spritzy carbonation. Good.

Bottle from the now-extinct Brewklopedia, Leicester. Dark gold, cloudy with a small bit of spotty white head. Aroma gives a note of tart gooseberries, honey, candied yeast. Sweet taste with the yeast to the fore and a gentle vinous fruitiness. Some bittering hops in the finish and a fair bit of warming booze in the aftertaste. Medium carbonation. It's a very good beer Altho Ugh the flavours don't all come together as harmoniously as I would like. An ambitious beer and doesn't quite pull it off but a very good drink nonetheless.

Well integrated white wine and plenty of florals like Eddy Murphy's parents' carpet in Coming to America. Golden pour. Some coriander amd tangy orange peel. Well done. Tangy finish. Tap.
