Dark brown with a thin head. Aroma and flavour have the pleasant sweetness of caramel malt. Rather thin and watery but would make for a decent session beer.

On tap at Prague Beer Museum (N. Míru). Poured a dark amber/brown/red with no head. Fresh aroma, herbal & citric full hoppy nose. Mild taste, herbal & citric hopiness again, juicy, good malty background. Hops own this one, and it’ doesn’t show it’s just 5%. Superbly balanced and did I mention fresh? Lovely stuff. There are so many great western-style beers nowadays in the Czech Republic, complementing their traditional, brilliant lagers really well.

Dieses sehr rote Bier ist primär auf Malz aufgebaut. So hat es wohl einen vollen Körper, der mir aber viel zu süß ist. Man kann es schon trinken, aber es gibt bessere -sogar in Tschechien.

Tap at Starosloviensky. Aroma quite intense, hoppy, fruity, tempting. Clear deep ruby colour. Off-white head, moderate duration. Taste is mostly hoppy, malt providing just the backbone. Decent earthy bitterness with less pronounced fruity flavour than expected. Aroma was nice but flavour is coming short. However has an interesting twist, wet forest. Nevertheless still a good beer with no off impressions.

(Draught at Prague Beer Museum, Prague, 19 July 2013) Red colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, orange peel, caramel and red berries. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange, citrus peel, caramel and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.
