Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes and light vanilla with some woody notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some vanilla notes with some woody bourbon notes and light Cognac notes and a dry finish. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with some discernible alcohol notes. Nice mix of bourbon/Cognac notes with great chocolate stout notes.

Dark and inky. Nice rich umami, chocolate, cacao, with a luxurious Willett character. Deep, rich, again this is luxurious. Dark, almost burnt notes, meaty, goes on for days.

750mL bottle, pours jet black, almost no head. Aroma is complex and elegant, with a wonderful blend of bourbon and cognac barrels, plenty of molasses and dark sugars. Flavour has a wonderfully buttery cognac barrel character, bourbon notes, toffee, and brown sugar. Wonderful blend of barrels, fantastic malt base, and beautifully constructed overall. Beauty.

750ml (thx, Alex G.!) @ SF
Aroma: American oak, some meaty notes, bold, a bit of fruitiness.
Taste: along the same lines.
Overall: another liquid oak bomb from the brewery, I wish they would be more distinct from each other.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Near black with no head. Boozy cognac and bourbon overlay with a nice thick chocolately malt, very nice.

500mL bottle. Pours black with no head. Tons of great bourbon barrel character and roasted malts on the nose. Flavour has rich roasted malts and tons of bourbon barrel character; not getting too much cognac. Fantastic barrel-aged stout, no adjuncts or gimmicks, just good beer.
