Zavedeni istim stilom skuhali smo pivo s pozamašnom količinom alkohola i bogatih čokoladnih i kavastih aroma prženih sladova.
Da upotpunimo dojam, ovo posebno izdanje je odležavano u hrastovim bačvama od whiskeya preko šest mjeseci.
As big as Russia, as lavish as a palace, as complex as court intrigues and as mighty as a Tzar, the Russian Imperial Stout beer style originated as a love statement to Empress Catherine the Great.
Seduced by that very style, we brewed this beer with a hefty amount of alcohol and rich chocolate and coffee aromas from dark malts. To enhance the overall impression, this special release was aged in whiskey barrels for over six months.

Bottle.Pitch black colour with off beige head.Aroma is roasted with taste of whisky and oak light warming mouth feel and hint of licorice nice and well balanced.

330ml bottle handed to me by a fellow named Neven at Frontier Brewing and Taproom.
Best before December 31st 2021.
It pours a pitch black with an inch of tan foam, lacing is above average.
Rich roasted malt nose with a healthy barrel aged aroma. Some vanilla and a pleasant smell of the roasted bitterness. Coffee and dark chocolate round things out.
Roasted malt, flavours from the barrel, vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, lovely level of bitterness for the style. Ample alcohol is hidden well. Just a slight burn after the swallow. Really tasty and smooth.
Feels full bodied to me with an ideal amount of carbonation.

0,33l from bottle at Arrogant Sour Fest shared by me courtesy of Iznogud, big thanks. BB 31.12.2021. Black color, small coffee colored head. Smells bourbon, spices, earthy, light caramel. Nice smell. Full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes bourbon, earthy, ashy, light vanilla, spices, peppery, cigarette butts. Finishes rather roasty bitter with notes of cigarettes, bourbon and some bitter chocolate notes. Very nice one, rather old schoolish, rather on the ashy side, but overall very nice 7, 4, 8, 4, 16

Bottle at cgarvieuk's. Pours black. Aroma is citric hops, like a black IPA, but suddenly the roast malts take over. Body is heavy and super roasted and burnt, still a bit soapy though, ashes and tar. Abrasive. Licking railroad tracks. A bit too extreme.

Bottle at Craft Room. Was supposed to be my finisher until friends (new and old) showed up, spoiling my plans for an early bedtime. Black color brown head. Aroma has vanilla toasted coconut espresso. Taste is rich whiskey vanilla burnt coffee. Delicious

Evo dugo očekivane pive koja mi je stajala nekoliko mjeseci u frižideru. Usput je ovo i najskuplja piva koju sam kupio. Nebi htio otvarat rane pričajući o cijeni. Iako mu je rok još 3 godine, odlučio sam ne čekati baš zadnji trenutal. :-) 10,1% alk. Ima lijepi miris stouta, standard, kava, čokolada začinjeno sa voćnim notama. Pica je stvarno gusta, punog okusa i alkohol se jako ni ne osjeti ali lijepo zagrije par trenutaka poslije ispijanja. Fantazija od pive, sad da li to opravdava cijenu... teško... Ali da je dobra, dobra je!

330mL bottle at Hop In, pours a jet motor oil black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of barrel character, revealing notes of wood, vanilla and light roast. Flavour is rich, with lots of whiskey and wood, with a bit of wood varnish, and hint of vanilla. Oily on the palate, with minimal carbonation, and finishing dry and woody. Well-rounded and a lovely sipper.

0.33 l bottle shared with Višnja 666 and Marko in September 2017. Black, moderately lasting tan head. Very nice barrel aromas, whiskey present, roasty and ash aroma. Sweet, barrel persistent. Strong, potent, creamy, alcohol present, medium to full body, lasting finish. A beautiful BA!
