From the brewer: "A much anticipated release, with some really entertaining PR building up to it. A delicious blend of our (Totality) Imperial Stout and (Summit) Barleywine, barrel aged for over 100 days, and then infused with some locally roasted coffee. It pours dark brown wih a tan head, and has a nice dark roast coffee aroma complimented with hints of caramel. The taste is smooth dark roast coffee, strong bourbon oak, toffee, and vanilla with bitter notes and alcohol warmth coming through on the finish."

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Abijen. Opaque dark brown to black color, small to average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, coffee, slightly sweetish as well, nice bitterness. Decent, but not as good as I had expected.

GABF 2015. A couple of pours. Dark brown, hazy appearance with a light brown head. Toffee, light chocolate, caramel, and toffee. Some whiskey and vanilla. A little oak. Somewhat sweet and slightly boozy. Kind of fun if you don’t mind me saying so.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is very coffee forward with some light roast and moderate chocolate notes. As the coffee fades you pick up more of the malt and get some caramel. Light oak and faint bourbon notes. Pours dark brown, but not quite black with a medium large, medium thick, dark tan head with average retention. Moderate lacing and medium long legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with some nice caramel and chocolate notes. Some light roast and toffee notes. Moderately strong coffee character. Medium bitterness with faint oak and bourbon notes. Alcohol spice is light and well hidden. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low, but present alcohol warmth. Overall, a good beer with a lot of nice coffee character. If I had my way the coffee would be a touch lighter so you got more of the base beer’s character. All the components of this beer work really well together - classic BART with a lot of coffee.
