This is our classic take on an American Session Ale. One of Peter Zien’s original homebrew recipes, this beer delivers a sweet and flavorful maltiness, with floral hop notes that scream backyard BBQ. The finish is crisp and refreshing, making this the perfect brew to crush on a summer day.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is grainy biscuity malt with a hint of fruit, straw and hops. Flavour is mildly sweetish and light bitter. Body is light to medium. Simple, but crushable indeed.

Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, hay, light grain, a dose of alcohol and ending with some lemon and citrus towards the end. Light-bodied; Very fresh malt and grass flavour showing through with a touch of light, but high alpha acid, hops with some light bitterness showing through at the end along with a dash of white pepper, grain and flowers, that have almost a chamomile note to them that end fresh and light. Aftertaste shows the dry, grainy notes with more malts than hops, but a decently balanced profile that has some floral finishes, a dose of sugars and fruit and ending with a robust, yeastie bite without any alcohol at all and only a dash of hops, in a good way. Overall, a surprising beer from the brewery and one that actually hits all the right notes for the style, and of course (as part of the desired profile for the style) shows a great easy-drinking nature. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 23-June-2019 for US$2,19 sampled at home in Washington on 15-October-2019.

16 oz. can, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose is pretty neutral, with cereal malt and straw. Flavour is clean but unassuming, with a somewhat stale cereal malt character, straw, and bready notes. Fairly dry, but bland. Meh.

Has a canned on date of early August and I got it about 3 months later so it's a little old. The Aromas are fairly simple- pale grains and malts, beer. Flavors are like nose, slightly sweet good carbonation slight bitterness in the Finish. A forgettable beer. They must be using a different definition of crushable than I am.

16 ounce can. Pours a clear yellow color with a large white head. A soft beady nose. Very smooth, toast, light citrus. Basically fits very well into what it is. Smooth, bready citrus.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a clear pure gold body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up corn, cracker malts and some spicy hoppiness The taste delivers smooth inviting cracker malts and then mild soft spicy earthy hops rolling into a faint corn and vaguely vanilla sensation. This comes together really well. Cracker malts and spicy Noble like hops. Solid crushable brew.

Can. Pours clear golden, medium white head, some lacing. Aroma is grassy, grainy and a bit corny. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter. Light body, prickly carbonation, a hint of citrus. Kind of like a hoppy pilsner. OK

Draught @ Zeezicht. Clear golden color, full sized white head. Aroma is lightly grassy hoppy. Flavor is grainy malty in the background again lightly grassy hoppy, a bit soapy. Quite low bodied and especially very low carbonation, almost flat. Hmm don't like it.
