Brewed in the UK at Shepherd Neame Brewery, in Kent. This beer has an intense red colour, with the finest malt offering a sweet, malty character to both the aroma and flavour, complemented by a balanced bitterness from the hops used.

Cask @ Regal Moon, Rochdale. Golden-red with a thin head. There’s malts in the aroma but the oak barreled flavouring is very pleasant despite not lingering long enough. It’s reminiscent of Innis & Gunn’s signature brew.

Cask @ JDW The Diamond, Derry [290314]
Amber, clear, thin white head, some lacing
Aroma of sheppy yeast, some sulphur, soft caramel malts, bit fruity
Taste of caramel malts, some biscuit, touch of yeast esters, soft twiggy hop, some toasted malts, dab of dark honey, taste better than the aroma, drinks well for abv
Palate - Medium body, quite smooth, bit tangy, quite bitter. Finish as main flavour with more toasted malts coming though
Overall - Not bad for a Sheppy beer

Cask @ Lloyds No 1, MK. Reddish amber with lots of lacing. Muted but pleasant scent of bread and redcurrants. Full sweet fruity taste with only a hint of bitterness at the end. Short finish. Quite nice really.

Cask at The Briar Rose; burnished amber pour with a frothy white head, caramel malt aroma, taste is mostly caramel with a slight bitter hop edge, a sense of nuts.

Cask at Crosse Keys, JDW - London. Pours clear amber-gold with a foamy white head. The nose has toasty, doughy bread, bites of uoney, caramel. Medium sweet flavor with sugary bread, more caramel, toffee, orange, light yeast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Sugary bread to finish, some notes of toffee, toasted sugars, ripe berries. Somewhat sugary and simple but plenty drinkable.
