Bottle. Pours opaque black, large creamy brown head, dissipates slowly leaving nice lacing. Aroma is roast, chocolate, some ashtray and cigarettes, coffee, perhaps a bit stale. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, a touch of cinnamon along with a lot of dark dark roasting and bakers chocolate, coffee and cigarettes on the side. Full body, nice creamy mouthfeel. Tasty brew.

Keg at the 30th St taproom, SD, 15/11/14. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is cinnamon, chocolate, caramel, light roast. Taste comprises dark malts, sweet tunes, milk chocolate, sice, nutty tones, more cinnamon sprinkled on french toast. Medium body, fine carbonation, sweet notes and light roast in the close. Ok drinkable impy but not really pulling out of second gear.

Bomber from Best Damn Beer Shop. Pours dark brn/blk with a dark tan head. Aroma is mostly cacao. Maybe some cinnamon. A little almond? Med body or better. Flavor is somewhat bitter dark/burnt malt with cinnamon, chocolate and some things hard to pin down. It’s just a bit sweet for an IS.
