A buckwheat farmhouse ale aged in wine barrels with brettanomyces for over one year. Buckwheat produces soft fruit notes, the oak contributes a delicate sweet vanilla and the brett produces just enough floral funk to balance a soft acidity.

500ml bottle from Beer Republic. Yellow gold colour, thin white foam head and aroma of woody, oaky, citric, sour. Taste is pale malt, tart lemon rind, bretty, sour, with wood, oak barrel and vanilla notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry woody brett soured finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle. Color: Yellow golden, thin white head. Aroma: Brett, yellow fruit, moderate sour. Taste: Malty, brett notes, hints of apples and wood, notes of soft yellow fruit. Bit vinuous, fresh lightly to moderate sour notes of white grapes and wine. Moderate sour, sweet and bitter. Medium body, slightly below average carbonation. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Pretty complex, nicely balanced wild beer.

Bottle at Oedipus. Murky pale straw with white head. Sweaty Brett, rotten lemon, sweet white wine, yoghurt, pineapple, dough, quinoa. Medium sweet and light sour. Medium bodied with a bit creamy feel. Bit too sweaty and sweet but not bad.
