Komorebi: Yamadori is a rumination on the traditional art of bonsai. This Dry-hopped Japanese Lager pours a brilliant pale yellow color into the glass with notes of bready malts, straw, and white rice. A thoughtful addition of Lemondrop hops then lends aromas of floral green tea, citrus peel, and lemon candies. Our practices intersect in that when done correctly, nature is allowed to take its course within a set of parameters, our guidance only apparent in the fleeting conditions we built around the art.

Can shared by CLW (courtesy of Chalumeaux)--thanks guys! Lightly hazy gold with light sparkle, decent head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is pale malt and light lemon. Taste is strong pale malt, biscuit, rice, lesser lemon. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, dry, malty finish, light bitterness. Not as strong hop presence as Yozakura nor as interesting. Mostly rice lager. Ehh.

16 oz. Can in a trade with Chalumeaux, Thank you! Aroma has soft lemon and mild bread like malts. Flavor follows with a very mild sweetness in the finish. More lager in my glass without much hop character. Had side by side with Yozakura. Yozakura wins hands down.

Charlton draught, 8/12/25.
Lemony-blobde with unfiltered sheen. Small, white head.
Lemon and earth with cracker and honey. Not hugely aromatic but what's there is rich and clean.
Lemony with buttercream and big sponge cake notes. Lemon and pepper lingering on spicily and moderately bitter as the malt dries out properly. Lemon drop is strong here and as such it gets a bit overly full of lemon candy notes with some sweetness lingering a bit more prominently than I'd prefer.

Pours a hazy, pale lemon yellow, with mid-sized head. Aroma is grass, straw, some citrus. Flavors follow. Fairly clean, crisp mouthfeel.
