12 oz. can. Smooth cocoa smell with some roast malt in the nose. Slightly sudsy tan head, deep brown body. Taste has a bit of roast up front, but it's reflected by a smooth character, and a bit of Guinness sour. Also well balanced between sweetness and dryness. Would be even better on nitro.

12oz can. Deep brown-black body. Thin beige head. Sweet, creamy, chocolaty Stout. Quite nice. Some roast and hop balance, but mostly just sweet and nice. Rich specialty malt tones, but also pretty clean and drinkable. Good stuff.

On tap at Pizza Luce downtown. Pours near black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet dark grains, a bit of lactose, some roast and a hint of chocolate coming through. Flavor is similar with a combination of lactose, sweet dark grain and light roasted malts.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 12/18/2017. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, cream, and toasted dark bread; with light notes of nuttiness, vanilla, smoke, char, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, cream, and toasted dark bread; with light notes of nuttiness, vanilla, smoke, char, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, cream, toasted dark bread, light smoke/dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and zero cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from hop/roast bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is good. On the thin side on body, but not too bad. Zero warming alcohol for 6.1%. Overall this is a very good milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Solid richness for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

Draft. Dark brown color beige head with decent retention. Earthy coffee grounds aroma. Taste is earthy chocolate with other flavors that don't quite come together.

Underwhelming milk stout, not an atrocity but not helped by its lackluster looks and listless feel. Moderate notes of chocolate, anise, coffee, and vanilla, but never enough to summon up the tasty indulgence you want in a good milk stout, and a subtle but noticeable tart vein seems out of place. Finishes dry with hints of cardboard. Pours black-brown with a thin white head and no lace. Chocolate nose points towards the weird tart streak. Thin, direly in need of some heft and body. Disappointing, but not undrinkable.

On tap at Hops & Craft, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, with little else. Flavour is somewhat tart, with toasted malt, some red fruits, and biscuity notes. Dry and tart body. Not calibrated well.
