Draught at Novare Res, 4/21/18.
Murky mauve with little/no head.
Dark, dry and quite acetic-forward. Strong, almost blackberry-like acidity with cherry pie-like Brett and light touches of treacle, dry toffee and earth.
In the mouth it's heavy but still demonstrates a strong cherry-like lacto-acetic character. Vanilla emerges quickly with lots of wood and yet plentiful malt textures. Medicinal on end with endless amounts of both dark and red fruit. Big tannin and malt texture continuing on to the finish with good attenuation. Low but engaging carbonation. Pretty f--kin intense, but good.

Bottle purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Bottled July 2017. Appearance is a deep brown color with ruby highlights. No head, low carbontion. Aroma is vinous; red grapes, oak, mild sour funk.
I detect some vinegar notes in the flavor. Citrus peel, red grapes, roasted barely hints. Some mildly sharp tart and sourness in the finish. Overall, I would like this a lot more if I didn’t taste vinegar.

Goods from the Garden at Spuyten Duyvil: what I thought was 2017 was actually a 2016... pours light brown with a white head. Aroma is woody funk, sugar, pastry. Taste is lightly sour. Kind of sweet. Good.
