Bottle sample at a tasting at Stas’s place. Thanks Yoav. Black with a tan head. Great aroma with lots of coffee, roast, mocha, cocoa. Bittersweet flavor with coffee, roast, cocoa, and a bitter finish. Full-bodied, smooth and rounded. Really good.

Bomber courtesy of GT2. Pours black with a small mocha head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and toasty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, dark roast coffee, fairly sweet dark chocolate, moist soil and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty. Mouthfeel is round, tiny syrupy, tiny astringent, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts burnt caramel, brownies, banana bread, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, moist soil and hints of alcohol. Very solid coffee imply. Perhaps a bit too sweet and thin.

Bottle from Tanakaya shared. Pours a deep brown with a small half-finger of beige foam. Cacao all over the nose with milk chocolate, some dark fruit and just a touch of coffee. Body feels a little light for the style, but hides the abv very well. Almost spritzy carbonation. Great balance between sweet and bitter on the palate with more of the coffee showing on the finish. Well-rounded finish with good roasted coffee and chocolate notes.

Thanks to willisread for sharing the bottle! Pours pitch black with a finger of latte colored foam. The nose shows a lot of dark chocolate with a good mix of roasted coffee. The palate is foamy and full bodied. A lot of roasted coffee with big notes of coffee smoke. A big smoky roasted coffee bitterness on the finish.

22 oz. bottle at home. It pours very dark brown/black with a light tan head. The aroma is nice with some cocoa, coffee, caramel and roasted malt. The coffee is there, but its pretty subdued and in balance with everything else. The flavor has stronger coffee notes taking center stage. Nice smoky, nutty sweet coffee with some more oats, caramel and dark bread. Very rich on the palate, but not too cloying or sweet. Theres also a decent amount of roast and bitterness in the finish to keep the thick body in check. Great coffee flavor. Overall, a top notch coffee stout. Loved it.

Thanks! to Abijen. 650 ml. bottle sampled @ ZZT XIII. Black, light small mocha head. Nose is huge coffee, light vegetable coffee notes, mocha. Taste is huge ashes, mocha, caramel, light herbal, very bitter mocha, bit powdery,.. Body is a bit thin, coffee ground. Nice but a bit too roasted & coffee grounds heavy to fully excel for me.

Pours pitch black color, with dark brown head. The nose is very strong with lots of dark roasted malts and coffee with hints of chocolate. Very tempting. The mouth is moderately acidic with roasted malts, but lots of coffee and dark chocolate to back things up. Nice lingering coffee and dark chocolate finish. Yum.

Pours pitch black with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, vanilla, cocoa, dark chocolate and espresso. Taste is super smooth, roasty and heavy with coffee, espresso, dark chocolate, vanilla and cocoa. Finish is smooth, slick and slightly roasty with loads of espresso, coffee and cocoa. Well balanced and tasty.
