Black pour, with a medium beige head. Cinnamon is very pronounced, light roast, soft sweet vanilla and coffee. Standard mouth feel, carb is the same. Finish is cinnamon dominated by a solid roastiness and light coffee with a subtly sweet vanilla end.

Tasting at Peters, Ystad, Sweden (25/11/2023) - dark and sweet roasted malty with lots of coffee roast, chocolate, some cinnamon spice, full bodied, spiced dark sweet malty and vanilla accents into the close. Good stuff.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 03/10/2023). Near black with small beige head. Lots of coffee, lactose, mild vanilla, barely a hint of cinnamon (basically hidden). Thin-medium body. Decent.

(500ml bottle from the brewpub bottleshop) Pours deep cola brown with a little haze and a big creamy tan head without lace. Notes of somewhat dusty roasted malts with a little caramel but also a decent amount of roasted bitterness and light acidity, spice cupboard cinnamon, unsweetened chocolate/cacao beans and ashy coffee and burnt grain make for a rather dry stout overall, with light vanilla hits and a kind of spicy warmth through the middle of the sip into the bitter, burnt, chocolatey coffee-infused finish and short aftertaste. Light body verging on watery with soft and slightly creamy carbonation. Nice dry lower ABV spiced stout, definitely not pastry but more an accompaniment than a standalone sipper stout.

Great rich nutty lightly spicy aroma. Full bodied and fairly smooth with dark cacao nibs and cinnamon. Tasty and approachable, this is very nice. It’s a bit like Mexican cake but softer.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light vanilla notes, light licorice, very nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with light spices, cloves, light mineral notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Ottawa winter brewfest 2018.
