Bottle from Halo. Pours as you would expect, all dark and, um, stouty, but just a bare ring of tan head. The sarsaparilla really works here, great balance. Good sweetness, without being syrupy, balancing toasty coffee and a little chocolate with that mild rootbeer and vanilla notes. Man I think this would kill if it spent some time in a oak. But solid as is.

Halo Event Horizon 6% Foreign Extra Stout with Sarsaparilla Deep black with a wispy tan head and a sugary sarsaparilla aroma. Full bodied roasty dark cocoa and sweet sarsaparilla flavor. By far the nicest Halo I had.

A deep dark stout with a deep dark stout with a thin nitro brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light licorice, light vanilla, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with vanilla, saspirilla, licorice, pleasant. On tap at Brother's Beer Bistro.
