A Hazy Triple IPA with Citra, Galaxy & Vic Secret.
"When my current colleague Pontus and I were homebrewing, we brewed a banger of a 'House-NEIPA' called Candydate — at least we thought it was amazing back then! So here’s Candydate, brought back with the same hop combo and soul, but a refined malt base, updated to today’s standards."

Shared can @ Brygghuset. Hazy yellow body under a white head. Fruity, juice aroma and taste. Citric, some pineapple and light vanilla. Nice alcohol sting. In my taste palette a NEIPA needs some alcoholic sting to not become just sweet and sticky. This was quite nice.

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy and tropical fruity, slightly piney and grassy, hoppy aroma, notes of mandarine, pineapple, some lemon, grapefruit, orange, melon, weak, dank and resinous undertones, even a touch of liquorice, sweet-ish, wheaty yand oaty malty background, minimally dusty, yeasty overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, wheaty and oaty malty, juicy, tropical and slightly citrusy fruity, minimally piney hoppy, slightly alcoholic, notes of mango, mandarine, sweet pineapple, some lemon, grapefruit; slight alcohol presence throughout, but no further increase of booziness or warmth in the finish due to a constant, non-abating hoppy fruitiness; however, a minimally pungent effect by accumulated hop and alcoholic bitteness can't be denied..
Dissolved sugar enriched, minimally oily, overall relatively watery texture, smooth, minimally cloying and greasy, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Rich, complex, evolving, seemingly relatively light, relatively well hidden alcohol as well, maybe a tad to sweet - good.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 24/08/2025.
Murky orange topped with a lasting just off white head.
Nose is ripe tropical fruits, mandarin, papaya, pine resin, guava.
Taste comprises grapefruit, pine resin, faint minerality, grass, papaya, guava, mango flesh.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come lightly resinous hop bitterness.
Tidy TIPA if lacking a little bitterness for my liking.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, small off white head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light and creamy sweet malts. Hops bring hop spice right up front. Light cooling pine. Good juicy citrus and broad spectrum fruits. A little Vic Secret floral pineapple adds further colour. Light crisp hop spicy finish. Nice job.

Can, at Patrick's. Fruity, lightly resiny with a good bitterness and a bit heavy alcohol. Still nice though. 747415 250719
