Marrón rojiza de espuma abundante y buena retención. Aroma a malta tostada, notas de madera y frutos secos. Mantiene en boca, donde resulta muy ligera y bebible. Mínimo amargor, buena carbonatación.

330 ml bottle. Unclear red with a small creamy head. Toffee, quite metallic, caramel, raisins, roasted malt, resin, zest. Malty toffee sweetness, metallic bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, metallic malty bittersweet finish. An alright Rotbier.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Clear amberbrown colour, fair frothy off-white to beige head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, raisins, dark bread. Taste medium sweet and slightly bitter, roasted malt, caramel, bready, light raisins. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, light malty sweet and slightly bitter aftertaste, lingering modest roastiness, smooth till the end, very nice.

Landwehr-Bräu Rotfränkisch, Fläschla von Edeka, Leutershausen. - Dunkles Kupferrot, klar. - Eher bescheidenes Rotbier. (3.10.2023.)

Bottle picked up from REWE Rothenburg ob der Tauber and consumed at home Friday 29th October 2021, we had homemade Lasagna accompanied with a Greek Salad, listening to PJ Harvey - Stories From the City Stories From the Sea. Pours reddy amber, pretty decent clarity with an off white head. Caramel, fruity some plums and damsons, fruit skins, light caramel, a little biscuit, quite nice.

21 August 2018. At Landwehr-Bräu am Turm, Rothenburg. Cheers to Anke!
Pours clear amber, reddish, with a lasting, foamy, tan head; some lacing. Aroma of raisin, toast, speculoos, cinnamon, peanut, mocha, plum (weirdly reminded me of 'Sultana' or 'Grany' cookie). It tastes medium fruity sweet, hints of raisin & plum with a bready touch; and light spicy bitter, herbal, some cookie, cinnamon, a bit sour. Dryish, herbal finish, bit fruity & caramelly. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Nice Amber Lager, perhaps not outspoken enough.

Medium dark amber color. Very malty nose with tons of unfermented wort in the nose. Smooth mouth. Very malty. Slight sweet, but that provides good body. Nice to find a amber lager that is not super dry but slightly sweet that is half decent

Fläschla: Almost clear, reddish-chestnut-amber coloured, small and rather quickly collapsing off-white head; bitter-sweet aroma of toasted malt and grassy hops; dry bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied and a bit harsh; slightly lingering tart grassy and malty finish. Thin and unharmonic! Another disappointing brew from a less than mediocre franconian brewery...
