A pretty dark, blackish colour with no highlights seen. A smaller, bubbly, mocha-coloured head, decent stay and a light ring left around the brew. A nice roasted malt base nose which gives some dark fruits, molasses, mild alcohol, chocolate and hints of nuttiness. The nutty character shows up a little more in the taste, giving a coconut touch. All over the rest found in the aromas. Everything is really well-balanced in this one, with nothing sticking out like a sore thumb. A thicker, oily mouthfeel with a nice drying finish. Not too much Bourbon-raisin notes. Just a really well-blended, Barrel-aged Imperial Stout.
